Skindred was formed in Newport, Wales in 1998 by Benji Webb, Daniel Pugsley, Mikey Dee, and Dirty Arya.
The group released their LP Babylon in 2002, and it was re-released in 2004. In 2007, they released Roots Rock Riot followed by Shark Bites & Dog Fights in 2009. Union Black, their fourth album, dropped in 2011. Their album Volume which was released in 2015 made it to the U.S. Heatseekers chart Top 20 and entered the U.K.’s Top 30.
In 2017, they released “Machine” featuring Phil Campbell and Gary Stringer. The track was included in the album Big Tings which has been released the year after. Skindred won various awards including the 2011 UK Metal Hammer ‘Golden Gods’ awards and the Devotion Award from the 2011 Kerrang! Awards.
