Slow Pulp is an American indie-rock band formed in 2016 in Madison, Wisconsin. The band came together after schoolmates guitarist Henry Stoehr, bass player Alexander Leeds, and drummer Theodore Mathews recruited guitarist and lead vocalist Emily Massey. The band had already digitally released an EP without Massey, however, it was taken down, and in 2017 the aptly titled “EP2” went out, including the singer. After relocating to Chicago in 2018, the quartet started releasing singles, including “At Home” and “Steel Birds.” In 2019 the band released an EP titled “Big Day”. It wasn’t long before the band toured the U.S. with Alex G and started to record their next album. Produced and mixed by Henry Stoehr, the full-length “Moveys” was issued in October 2020.
