Smith/Kotzen Bio
Smith/Kotzen is a rock duo of musicians Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen. They released their debut album, titled “Smith/Kotzen”, on 26th March 2021. The album blends the music genres R&B, hard rock, blues, and others. The two were living in the same neighbourhood in Los Angeles, and that’s how they knew each other. As they started spending time together, they discovered they had a common interest in music. This encouraged them to start writing songs together.
They quickly came up with ideas and soon had sufficient material to make an album. They travelled to the Turks and Caicos Islands in 2020, where they started recording songs with producer Kevin Shirley. The two were involved in vocals, bass and guitar, while Nicko McBrain and Tal Bergman played drums. On several occasions, Kotzen provided percussion. They name their debut project Smith/Kotzen.
