The reggae artist known as Snow was born as Darrin O'Brien on October 30th 1969 in Toronto, Canada. Snow got a deal with East/West/Warner Bros., and made a video for his single Informer. He had to return to Canada to serve at the Maplehurst Correctional Centre, and when he got out he released his debut album, 12 Inches of Snow. Informer was #1 on the Billboard Singles Chart for seven weeks, entering the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest selling and highest charting reggae single in U.S. history. His album went triple-platinum, and his song Girl, I’ve Been Hurt reached #20 on the Billboard Charts. Snow’s hit Sexy Girl from his album Murder Love charted at #1 in 15 countries, and his song Anything for You became a smash-hit in Jamaica. He collaborated with various artists including Long Time with Chach, and Peace with Elephant Man.
