Soak, born as Bridie Monds-Watson on May 2nd, 1996 in Derry, North Ireland is an Irish singer and songwriter that first came into the public eye in 2014. In November of 2014 she stepped into the music world as one of the acts of on the BBC Sound of 2015 annual music poll. She released her first album called Before We Forgot How to Dream through the label Rough Trade Records in the same year. The album produced three singles in the songs “Sea Creatures,” “Blud,” and “B a noBody.” The album won the Irish Choice Music Prize for Album of the Year in 2015. She cites artists Joni Mitchell, ABBA, the 1975, Foals and Pink Floyd as her musical inspirations.
