Úrsula Sofía Reyes Piñeyro, best known as Sofia Reyes, was born on September 25, 1995 in Monterrey, Nuevo León, México. She is a singer, songwriter, and actress. Her father was the first one to notice her musical talent when she began singing and playing the piano around age 8. When she was 17 the family relocated to Los Angeles, California so that she could pursue her dream of being a singer. She used YouTube to upload covers of songs including those of fellow artist Prince Royce. Royce noticed her and signed her to his label, D’León Records. She released her single “Now Forever” in 2013, “Muévelo” in 2014, and “Solo Yo” in 2016. Her first album, Louder!, was released in February of 2017. She has also appeared in theater production Esperanza mía (2015), television shows, and a commercial for 47 Street (2015).
