Sofia Sisniega is an actress born on June 7, 1989, in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. She began acting at 15 with Gabriel Retes' Mujeres en el Acto and Arresto Domiciliario. In 2011, she starred as Karim in Patricia Arriaga's Bacalar, produced by Walt Disney Studios. The same year, she was featured in an episode of Welcome to Reality as Mariana Cantú Dolomitri.
Sofia studied at The Stella Adler Studio's three-year Theater Conservatory in New York. In 2013, she starred in Gossip Girl: Acapulco as Sofía López-Haro. She has been featured in over 17 full-length films, 16 theater plays and 10 TV series, including Entre Correr y Vivir, Las 13 Esposas de Wilson, and Ladronas de Almas.
The Mexican-American actress has worked alongside Carrie Ann Moss, Zoe Kravitz, Christian Slater, and Teri Hatcher. In addition, she has performed in plays by Shakespeare, Anton Chekhov, García Lorca, Strindberg, Tennessee Williams, Sophocles, Oscar Wilde, and Harold Pinter.
