Sofiane Feghouli is a professional footballer born on December 26, 1989, in Levallois-Perret, France. He had his youth career at Red Star Paris between 1998 and 2003 before moving to Paris FC (2003-2004) and Grenoble (2004-2007). He joined the senior team of Grenoble in 2007, making 60 appearances and scoring three goals.
The winger left Grenoble in 2010 to join Valencia, where he played 146 games and scored 20 goals. He joined Almería on loan in 2011. The same year, he made his first appearance for Algeria's national team. Before that, he had played for France U18 (2006-2007) and France U21 (2008-2010) teams.
Sofiane has made 76 appearances for Algeria with 19 goals. In 2012, he earned him Algerian player of the year awards- Le Buteur's Algerian Ballon d'Or and the DZFoot d'Or, for his performance for Valencia. He joined Galatasaray in 2017 after playing for West Ham United the previous season. He has won the Süper Lig (2017/18 and 2018/19), the Turkish Cup (2018/19), and the Turkish Super Cup (2019).
