Softcult Bio
Softcult (stylized as softcult) is a Kitchener, Ontario-based Canadian alternative music band. Mercedes and Phoenix Arn-Horn, twin sisters from the band Courage My Love, form the band. In 2020, the sisters launched the band as a side project.
Mercedes Arn-Horn and Phoenix Arn-Horn began producing music for an untitled side project at their home studio during the Covid-19 lockdown in Ontario, Canada.
Mercedes Arn-Horn and Phoenix Arn-Horn began focusing more on the side project with the publication of the Spectra EP for Courage My Love in May 2020. "We wanted Softcult to be its own entity, separate from Courage My Love," Phoenix Arn-Horn told Gay Times magazine.
