Sohla El-Waylly Bio
Sohla El-Waylly, born as Sohla Muzib, is an American chef and YouTube personality who was born in Los Angeles. In 2008 she attended The Culinary Institute of America, and after graduating, she began to work at New York City restaurants. It was in 2016 that she opened a diner with her husband in Brooklyn, which was called Hail Mary but closed after 11 months. In 2019, she joined Bon Appétit magazine as an assistant food editor, and she appeared on the magazine’s widely known YouTube channel. Sohla has appeared on different YouTube channels, such as Food52, Harper’s BAZAAR, and NYT Cooking, and she has a personal website in which she shares her recipes and videos. She also runs an Instagram account, which has over 500,000 followers, where she posts food-related content.
