Soilwork Bio
Coming from Helsingborg, Sweden, Soilwork was formed in 1997. The sextet fused metal music with power groove riffs by early metal bands. The band is composed of Bjorn Strid, Peter Wichers, Ola Frenning, and Henry Ranta. The band’s first demo was entitled “In Dreams We Fall Into the Eternal” in 1997.
Soon, other members Ola Flink and Carlos Del Olmo Holmberg joined. Their official debut “Steelbath Suicide” came in 1998. The album won them a publishing deal with Century Media in US. In 1999, their follow-up “The Chainheart Machine” came. Then in 2000, “Predator’s Portrait” was released under Nuclear Blast label.
