Sophie is a Scottish singer, songwriter, DJ, and record producer born in Glasgow, Scotland on September 17, 1986. She is best known for her singles “Bipp” and “Lemonade.” Since she was young, her father would play electronic music on cassettes and take her to raves. She received a keyboard for her birthday and started making her own music. She started DJing at birthdays and weddings and was producing music as a teen. She started her music career in a band named Motherland. In 2012 she released her debut single titled “Nothing More to Say.” She continued to release the singles “Bipp”, “Lemonade”, “MSMSMSM”, “L.O.V.E.”, “It’s Okay to Cry”, “Ponyboy” and others. In 2015 she released a compilation album titled Product. She released her debut studio album in 2018 titled Oil of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides. Sophie has produced music for the artists Madonna, Vince Staples, Let’s Eat Grandma, Namie Amuro, Flume, Charli XCX and more.
