The hip Hop group Souls of Mischief was formed by rappers Opio, A-Plus, Phesto, and Tajai in 1991. The Oakland band is also a part of the hip-hop collective, Hieroglyphics which includes artists like Del the Funkee Homosapien, Jaybiz, Pep Love, Casual, and producer Domino. Souls of Mischief has been an integral part of all three albums released by Hieroglyphics, ‘3rd Eye Vision’, ‘2003’s Full Circle’ and ‘The Kitchen’. In 1995, they were released from Hieroglyphics studio but went on to release two albums under their independent label, Hieroglyphics Imperium Recordings.The album, ‘93 ‘til Infinity’ released independently by the band is the highest charting one. It was given the No.17 spot in the list of Top R/B and Hip Hop Albums and the No.85 spot on the Billboard 200 list. It was also named one of the Top 100 Rap albums of the Year by The Source magazine.
