Soulwax Bio
Soulwax is the Belgian alternative rock band formed from brothers Stephen Dewaele and David Dewaele, with the recruited talent of Stefaan Van Leuven (bass) and Piet Dierickx (drums). They make heavy use of electronic sound in their songs, for a fusion of EDM and synthpop with more traditional rock – on some of their work, if you close your eyes, you see a modern version of Kraftwerk.
Innovators in exposure as well as music, they launched their own Internet radio station, Radio Soulwax, which garnered them viral Internet fame. They’ve launched five studio albums from 1996 to 2017 – their latest as of this writing is “From Deewee.” They’ve also released two compilation albums from their radio station, and have composed soundtracks for film as well.
