Spiritbox Bio
Spiritbox is a Canadian melodic alternative metal band that was formed in 2016 by singer Courtney LaPlane and her husband Michael Stringer, a guitarist. They later added drummer Zev Rose and bassist Bill Cook to the band. The band released its first EP in 2017, which was called Spiritbox. In 2019 they released a Singles Collection and began to work on their first album. They also started their first tour around Europe as After the Burial's supporting band. The tour was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The album, called Eternal Blue, was finally released in September 2021 and ranked N°1 in the US Rock Chart and N°13 in the Billboard 200. The band’s song “Blessed Be” won the Music Video of the Year Award at Saskatchewan Music Awards in 2020 and the band won Best International Breakthrough Band Award at Heavy Music Awards in 2021.
