Stefan Sagmeister Bio
Stefan Sagmeister is a graphic designer, who was born on August 6th, 1962, in Austria. Along with Jessica Walsh, he founded Sagmeister & Walsh Inc. He created album covers for legendary artists like Lou Reed, OK Go, and The Rolling Stones. He completed his graphic design coursework at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, before being awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to attend Pratt Institute. He won a Grammy Award in 2005 for Best Boxed or Special Limited-Edition Package for the Talking Heads' “Once in a Lifetime” boxed set. Stefan made “The Happy Film” in response to his mother's passing and the breakup with his 11-year relationship with his girlfriend. Moreover, he created the album covers for Brian Eno and David Byrne as well.
