Stephan James Bio

Stephan James is a Canadian actor born in Toronto, Canada on December 16, 1993. He is best known for his roles in the television series Homecoming, which earned him a nomination for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series Drama, and the film Race, which earned him a Canadian Screen Award for Best Performance. His debut role in television was in 2010 on the Canadian television show Degrassi, he continued to land roles in television series like Clue, The Listener, Cracked, The Book of Negroes, Shots Fired, and Homecoming. In 2012 he landed his first role in the film Home Again, which earned him a nomination for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role. He has also been in the films, Perfect Sisters, The Dependables, When The Game Stands Tall, Selma, Lost After Dark, Across the Line, Race, If Beale Street Could Talk, 17 Bridges, and the television films, How to be Indie, 12 Days of Christmas, The Gabby Douglas Story, Apple Mortgage Cake, and Unveiled.
