Stephen Lang is an American actor who was born on July 11, 1952, in New York City. He began his acting career in 1984 when he played Willy Loman in the Broadway “Death of a Salesman”. Other roles followed on Broadway, among which stands out his role on “The Speed of Darkness”, which earned him a nomination at the Tony Awards. In 1986 he became a regular on the tv series “Crime Story” and participated in the movie “Manhunter”. Among his vast filmography we can highlight “Tombstone” and “Guilty as Sin” in 1993, “The Amazing Panda Adventure” in 1995 and “Story of a Bad boy” in 1999. In 2000 he starred in the tv series “The Fugitive” alongside Tim Daly and Mykelti Williamson. In 2003 he starred in the movie “Gods & Generals” opposite Robert Duvall and Jeff Daniels, for which he won a MovieGuide Award. In 2009 he became very popular after playing villain Colonel Miles Quaritch in the famous award-winning animated movie “Avatar”. He also won several awards, including a GI Choice Award and a Special Jury Award at the Phoenix Film Festival for “Beyond Glory” in 2016 and a Chainsaw Award for “Don’t Breathe” in 2016.
