Stephen Piscotty is a baseball outfielder born on 14th January 1991 in California, United States. He currently plays for the MLB team Chicago White Sox. He played high school baseball for Amador Valley High School. He later played college baseball for Stanford University. Piscotty won the Cape Cod League batting title and was named to the All-Pacific-10 Conference first team in 2011. He started his professional career with the St. Louis Cardinals after being selected in the first round of the 2012 MLB draft. Piscotty spent three years in the Cardinals’ minor league system before being promoted to the major leagues in 2015.
He was the franchise's Minor League Player of the Year and finished sixth in the voting for the National League Rookie of the Year Award. In December 2017, he was traded to the Oakland Athletics to be closer to his terminally ill mother. In 2018, Piscotty won the Tony Conigliaro Award. The Athletics released Piscotty in August 2022. He signed with the Cincinnati Reds the following month but elected free agency in November. On 22nd April 2023, Piscotty was acquired by the Chicago White Sox.
