Stereo MC’s Bio
Stereo MC’s is a hip-hop and alternative dance group from London, UK comprising members The Head, Rob B, Owen If and Aina Roxx. Formed in 1985, the band got their break when they released their album Connected in 1992. The album landed 2nd on the UK Albums Chart and the track Step it Up charted 12th. The track Connected peaked at 18th and 20th in the UK and the US respectively, and in 2015 formed a label named after it.
They have previously toured with U2 and Happy Mondays, and in 2008 was the supporting act at the O2 Arena in London for Madness. In 1994, the group won the British Group Award and the British Album of the Year Award at the BRIT Awards.
