Steve Augeri is a singer born on 30th January 1959 in Brooklyn, New York, United States. He is known for being the lead singer of the rock band Journey from 1998 to 2006. Before becoming a musician, he was bartending and waiting tables. In 1984, he became a background vocalist for German guitarist Michael Schenker of the rock band UFO. He later met guitarist Jack Morer and together, they formed the famous Epic Records recording. They also formed the group Tall Stories along with other musicians.
The innovative music of the group was influenced by numerous sounds, including Blues, Rock, Funk, Punk, and Country. Augeri has also released music with numerous bands. With Tyketto, he released “Shine” in 1995 and “Take Out and Served Up Live” in 1996. With Journey, he released “Arrival” in 2000, “Red 13” in 2003, and “Generations” in 2005.
