Stevie J. Bio

Stevie J, born as Steven Aaron Jordan on November 2nd, 1971 in Buffalo, New York is an American music producer and T.V. personality. His initial claim to fame was as a member of Bad Boy Records in-house roster of producers in the 1990’s.

Alongside Sean “Puffy” Combs he produced several Bay Boy records. He produced the single for the group 112 called “Only You.” Stevie went on to produce a few tracks for The Notorious B.I.G. on his album Life After Death. Notable tracks from the album that he produced are “Mo Money Mo Problems,” “Notorious Thugs” featuring Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and “Last Day.” He also produced Puffy’s debut studio album No Way Out.  He ended up winning a Grammy Award for the classic track “I’ll Be Missing You.”  Stevie J also produced Mariah Carey’s album Butterfly that featured the notable track “Honey.” In 1997 the tracks “I’ll Be Missing You, Mo Money Mo Problems, and Honey” all topped the Billboard Hot 100 from June to September.

In 2012 Stevie J became a cast member of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. He also made guest appearances on music videos for Faith Evan and her single “I Deserve It” featuring Missy Elliot and Sharaya J and Try Songz’ song “Hail Mary” featuring Young Jeezy and Lil Wayne.
