Stone Sour is an American rock band formed in Des Moines, Iowa in 1992. The members of the group are Corey Taylor on lead vocals and guitar, Josh Rand on guitar, Christian Martucci on guitar, Johny Chow on bass guitar, and Matt Traynor on drums. Their sound has been described as hard rock, alternative metal, alternative rock, and heavy metal. They released their debut studio album in 2002 titled Stone Sour and have since released the albums Come What(ever) May, Audio Secrecy, House of Gold & Bones – Part 1, House of Gold & Bones – Part 2, and Hydrograd. They have also released one live album, three EPs, and one video album. Stone Sour has sold over 2 million albums in the United States and have had one album certified Gold and one album certified Platinum by the RIAA. The band has been nominated for several awards and have won three Loudwire Music Awards, one Revolver Golden Gods Award, one Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award, and one Bandit Rock Award.
