Sukhwinder Singh was born on the 18th of July of 1971 in Shakira, Amritsar, which is in the state of Punjab in India. He is an Indian singer, songwriter, director and Bollywood actor, best known for his work in Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil and Kannada cinema. His debut single was “Aaja Sanam”, which was used in the Hindi film ‘Khilaaf’ in 1991. He later released his debut Punjabi album called “Munda Southhall Da”. which was created alongside T. Singer. When he returned to Bollywood he sang one of the most classic Bollywood songs, called ‘Chaiyya Chiayya’ from a movie, “Dil Se” in 1998. It became a huge hit. Since then he has had several number one hit singles and collaborations. He won the award for the Best Male Playback singer several times, with songs like “Chaiyya Chaiyya”, “Haule Haule” and “Jai Ho”.
