Summer Bishil is an American actress born July 17, 1988, in Pasadena, California, U.S. Bishil started her career with a role on the Nickelodeon television show Just for Kicks, which earned her more roles in various other children's kids' shows. Her real rise to prominence happened in 2007, with a role in the drama movie Towelhead alongside Aaron Eckhart - a role that earned her a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead. Her instant acclaim earned the young actress further success, as she was cast in the movie Crossing Over in 2009, alongside global movie stars Harrison Ford, Ray Liotta, and Ashley Judd. The second movie role also earned the up-and-coming actress critical acclaim. After her initial success, Bishil was part of several successful film and television projects - Mooz-lum in 2010, the role of Azula in The Last Airbender, as well as the neo-noir black comedy Under the Silver Lake in 2018. Her television appearances include 4 episodes of 90210, and main roles in television shows Lucky 7 and The Magicians.
