Adonis “Superman” Stevenson was born in Blainville, Quebec, Canada on September 22, 1977. As an amateur boxer, he won a silver medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
During his amateur boxing career, he won the N.A.B.A. Super middleweight championship in 2000, 2011 to 2012.
Stevenson started his professional boxing career in 2006. He started training with Emanuel Steward, a Hall of Fame trainer, in 2012 but Steward died in the same year.
He bagged the IBF Super middleweight championship in 2012 and the WBC Silver Champion Middleweight title.
Stevenson was the Ring Magazine Light heavyweight champion of the world from 2013 to 2017. He has been the WBC light heavyweight champion of the world from 2013 to present. He also holds the Lineal Light-heavyweight championship title since 2013.
