Susan Orlean is an American journalist and author best known for her nonfiction work. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, United States, on October 31, 1955.
Susan has written literature for The New Yorker magazine, Vogue, Esquire, Rolling Stone, Spy, and Outside, but she is best known for her published books. Her body of work includes the books The Orchid Thief: A True Story of Beauty and Obsession, On Animals, Rin Tin Tin, The Bullfighter Checks Her Makeup, My Kind of Place, Dogs Rough and Smooth, and Saturday Night, but she is best known for writing The Library Book.
