Sweater Beats, born Antonio Cuna in the Philippines and currently based in Brooklyn, New York, is a DJ and music producer that makes beats and music from his bedroom. He first began to release music under the moniker Sweaters, but with the help of SEO (search engine optimization) he changed his name to Sweater Beats. He cites his exposure to underground warehouse parties in Brooklyn, and producers such as Pharell, Daft Punk and Timbaland as his main influence for getting into music production.
In 2012 Sweater Beats broke onto the music scene with his single “Milln Dllr” released on the label Justus Recordings. In 2013 he released his first EP called That Feel on Symbols Recordings to critical acclaim. He has received support from high profile artists such as Diplo, Omarion, and JoJo. Sweater beats spent much of 2015 touring with the likes of Chance the Rapper, Flume and Chet Faker. In 2017 he released his new EP called For the Cold.
