Sasha McLeod, better known as “Sycco,” is an Australian singer-songwriter and record producer, who was born in 2002, in Brisbane. McLeod spent her youth in Brisbane, located in Queensland, and when she was seven years old, her father began teaching her how to play the guitar. She started making music at a young age, having created an album at the age of 15. Moreover, she chose the artist name Sycco as a reference to the psychedelic music that she was making at the time. In August of 2018, McLeod released her first single, which was titled "Starboard Square." Subsequently, she was considered for the Triple J Unearthed Artist of the Year award in the year 2020 owing to the fact that she released her pop singles "Nicotine" and "Dribble" in the same year.
