Tala Ashe, born Talayeh Ashrafi, is an American Iranian actress who was born on July 24, 1984, in Tehran but was raised in Powell, Ohio. She started acting when she was in high school, participating in her school productions. She then attended Boston University’s School of Theatre where she got her bachelor’s in fine arts. She then decided to perfect her acting training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. She started her career acting in off-broadway productions until she got her first role on the screen in 2008. It was in the film “Waiting in Beijing”, in which she starred opposite Kelly Nyks and Steph Song. She participated in the tv series “Smash” in 2012 and “American Odyssey” in 2015. In 2017 she became a regular on DC’s series “Legend of Tomorrow”, starring Caity Lotz, Amy Louise Pemberton, and Dominic Purcell.
