Tame Impala is a Psychedelic Indie-rock band formed in Perth, Australia, by multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, bassist Dominic Simper, and drummer Jay Watson. They were already active in MySpace by 2007, and some time later rose from local gigs touring Australia with MGMT and The Black Keys. After their debut album “Innerspeaker” (2010) they followed with “Lonerism” (2012), which garnered a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Album. Afterward, they moved towards a more pop and dance-oriented sound, resulting in bigger commercial success and visibility, and collaborations with Kanye West, Travis Scott, with Parker also achieving collaborations with Lady Gaga, and Mick Jagger on his side. They have been primary acts for Coachella and Primavera festivals and released two more studio albums, a live album, and a remix compilation.
