Ta’Rhonda Jones is an American rapper and actress born July 12, 1988 in Chicago, Illinois. She worked at a grocery store and a nursing home in her natal Chicago before acting professionally. In 2015 she had her television debut in an episode of “Chicago P.D.” and continued working for short films and other projects. Later in 2015 she also joined the cast of the TV series “Empire,” where she got her breakthrough portraying the character Porsha Taylor. Jones appeared in the TV movie “The Perfect Christmas Present” in 2017 with Sam Page and Tara Holt, and two years later she had a role in the horror film “Captive State” by director Rupert Wyatt. Jones has taken part in philanthropic organizations like The Brady Campaign and is known for doing her own red carpet clothing designs, as well as her on-set make-up. In 2018 the artist released her debut hip hop single “I Got The Juice,” featuring John Blu.
