Tash Sultana Bio

Tash Sultana, born as Natasha Sultana on June 15th, 1995 in Melbourne, Australia began to have a love for music when she picked up a guitar and learned to play at the age of 3. She began busking on the streets of Melbourne as a start to her musical career.

In 2008 she joined the band Mindpilot as a front-woman.  The band won a few battle of the bands and competed in Espy’s battle of the bands before breaking up in 2012. In 2016 she uploaded a video onto Facebook of herself performing.  The video received over 1 million views in just five days.  She then released her EP entitled Notion. The singles “Jungle” and “Notion” charted in at number 3 and number 32 respectively on the Triple J Hottest 100.  Tash then won the J Award for “Unearthed Artist of the Year” as a result of the singles performances.  She signed a deal with Lemon Tree music and went on a world tour. In promotion of the tour she released the single “Murder to the Mind.” The track charted in on the top 20 of the Australian singles chart.
