Tasha Smith is an American actress, director and producer. She was born on the 28th of February, 1971, in Camden, New Jersey, U.S. Smith made her acting debut playing a small role in the comedy movie “Twin Sitters”. Then, she landed a starring role on NBC’s series “Boston Common”. In 1997, she was cast in the sitcom “The Tom Show”. In the 2000s she had guest roles on series like “The Parkers”, “Nip/Tuck” and “Girlfriends”. In 2007, she appeared in the romantic film “Daddy’s Little Girl” starring Gabrielle Union and Idris Elba. She made her directorial debut with the short movie “Boxed in” in 2015. Two years later, she directed the television film “When Love Kills: The Falicia Blakely Story”, which was ranked as TV One’s #1. In 2019, she starred opposite Lisa Kudrow in the comedy film “Dolemite Is My Name”.
