Taye Diggs Bio
Taye Diggs is an American actor and singer. He was born as Scott Leo Berry on January 2nd, 1971, in Newark, New Jersey, U.S. He studied at the School of the Arts in New York. He did his Broadway debut in 1994, in the musical “Carousel”, which won a Tony Award. In 1996, he played in the Tony-Award winning musical “Rent”, later on he played opposite Idina Menzel in “The Wild Party” at the Manhattan Theatre Club. Diggs also played in the 2002 film adaptation of “Chicago”, directed by John Kander. Overall, Diggs has appeared in more than 20 movies, including “Brown Sugar” in 2002, “Drum” in 2004, “The Best Man Holiday”, among many others. He plays the lead role in “Murder in the First”. He has appeared in more than 20 television series, such as “NCIS” in 2016, “All American”, where he is part of the main cast, and “Elena of Avalor” in 2019.
