Taylor Dayne, whose real name is Leslie Wunderman, was born in Long Island, New York. She’s a popular chart-topping singer and has enjoyed hits spanning three decades and sold over 75 million singles and albums. Her first album in 1988 Tell It To My Heart second album 1989 Can’t Fight Fate together contained singles ‘Tell It To My Heart’ ‘Love Will Lead You Back’ and ‘Prove Your Love to Me’. Her songs have been grammy-nominated and heard across the radio. She went on tour with Michael Jackson for the European portion of his ‘Bad’ Tour. In the nineties she began in film and television appearing with Warren Beatty in The Love Affair and Elton John’s Broadway Aida. She co-wrote a song with Tina Turner called ‘Whatever You Want’ which became a top 40 hit in 10 countries in 1996. In 2008 she released the album Satisfied in which she co-wrote the single ‘beautiful’. Taylor Dayne was chosen as a top candidate to replace Paula Abdul on American Idol and was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in 2012.
