Taylor Decker was born in Vandalia, Ohio on August 23, 1993. He was the first round, 16th overall pick of the Detroit Lions in the 2016 NFL Draft. The Detroit Lions signed him to a four-year contract with a fully-guaranteed value of $10.96. He also received a $6.17 million signing bonus. He serves as the offensive tackle of the team and wears shirt No. 68. Prior to going pro, he played college football at Ohio State University.
He made it to the NFL All-Rookie team in his debut season. He received the accolades Consensus All-American and first-team All Big-Ten in 2015. In 2014, his team was the CFP national champion and the Big-Ten champion. He also earned the second-team All-Big Ten honor in the same year.
