Taylor Lautner is an American actor and model born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on February 11, 1992. He is best known for his role as the werewolf Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga. His career first started a few months after he moved to LA, when he landed small roles in several television shows, movies, and commercials. In 2001 he got his first major role in film staring in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D. The movie received negative reviews, but gained Lautner some initial fame and he received a nomination for a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film by a Leading Actor in 2006. In 2008 he landed his breakthrough role as Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga and remained in that role through the whole saga. He has been in numerous other movies and television throughout his career in Hollywood such as Valentines Day, Abduction, Grown Ups 2, Tracers, My Own Worst Enemy, Scream Queens and others. Lautner has received many awards for his work in film and television, including, Teen Choice Awards, People’s Choice Awards, Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, and many more.
