Taylor Jane Schilling, better known as Taylor Schilling, born on July 27, 1984, in Boston, Massachusetts, is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Piper Chapman in the Netflix television series Orange Is the New Black. The role earned Taylor Schilling a nomination for Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and two nominations for Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy and Best Actress – Television Series Drama. But before starring in Orange Is the New Black, she was a part of the cast of the 2007 drama film Dark Matter. Taylor Schilling is also seen starring in Mercy, Atlas Shrugged: Part I, The Lucky One, and The Titan.
