Tedashii “T-Dot” Anderson was born on March 8, 1977 in Lufkin, Texas. His family experienced difficult times financially and Tedashii escaped by watching TV and dreaming of going to Hollywood to begin a new life. In high school, he joined the jazz band, reveled in poetry and sought to become a renaissance man. Then, while attending college, he was introduced to the Gospel by a fellow student and found his new life in Christ instead of Hollywood. After rooming with fellow Christian rappers Lecrae and Sho Baraka and being featured on several tracks on their albums Real Talk and 116 Clique Compilation, Tedashii was encouraged to commit to ministry through music. He released his debut album Kingdom People in 2006. After realizing his ability to reach people through his music, Tedashii went on to release the albums Identity Crisis (2009) and Blacklight (2011.)
In March 2013, Tedashii suffered the loss of his one-year-old son in a car accident. He recorded much of his spiritual struggle during that time and based his fourth studio album, Below Paradise, off of his experiences. The album was released on May 27, 2014. Tedashii currently lives in Denton, Texas where he is serving at The Village Church.
