Tegan and Sara Bio
Hailing from Canada are the twin sisters Tegan and Sara Quin, who were born on September 19, 1980. At a very young age, the sisters began playing a variety of instruments and making music together, and utilizing the equipment and the studio at their school, they recorded the demo albums Who’s in Your Band? and Play Day. The duo released their debut album Under Feet Like Ours, and they were later signed to Vapor Records. In 2000, Tegan and Sara released The Business of Art, which launched them on a tour in the early 2000s. After releasing two more albums, they released The Con in 2007, which features an appearance by artists such as Jason McGerr from Death Cab for Cutie and Matt Sharp of Weezer. Tegan and Sara would go on to release Sainthood in 2009, Get Along in 2011, and Heartthrob in 2013. Their latter album was their most successful to date, and sold just under 50,000 copies in its first week.
