Teri Lynn Hatcher is an American actress, writer, and director best known for her work in film and television. She was born in Palo Alto, California, United States, on December 8, 1964. Teri began her screen acting career in 1985 when she was cast in the comedy-drama series The Love Boat. She has since been a regular on the TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, The Odd Couple, Supergirl, Captain Jake and the Never Land Pirates, and Karen's Song, but she is best known for starring in the ABC drama series Desperate Housewives alongside Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, and Ricardo Chavira. Her filmography includes the blockbusters Tomorrow Never Dies, Spy Kids, Planes, Coraline, Tango & Cash, and Planes: Fire & Rescue. For her work in the series Desperate Housewives, Teri won a Golden Globes Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical and two Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
