Terry McMillan is an American novelist best known for her extensive anthology of novels that are often about blavk women in America. She was born in Port Huron, Michigan, United States, on October 18, 1951.
Terry began he literary journey in 1987 when she published her first novel, Mama, and she solidified her name as a premier novelist in 1992 when her third novel Waiting to Exhale sold over three million copies. Her body of work now includes the novels Disappearing Acts, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, A Day Late and a Dollar Short, It's OK if You're Clueless, The Interruption of Everything, Getting to Happy, Who Asked You?
