The Airborne Toxic Event Bio

The Airborne Toxic Event is a post-punk and indie band formed in 2006 in Los Angeles, California, by writer Mikel Jollet (vocals), Deren Taylor (drums), Ana Bulbrook (viola and keyboards), Noah Harmon (bass), and Steven Chen (guitar). While their first EP “Does This Mean You're Moving On?” put the band on the map in 2007, it was the 2008 single “Sometime Around Midnight” from their self-titled full-length debut issue that earned the quartet some notoriety and a contract with Island Records. “All at Once” (2011) and “Such Hot Blood” (2013) also achieved high rankings in Billboard’s charts. After five records, a change in bassist, and a new record contract with the Epic firm, the group released “Hollywood Park” in 2020.
