The Album Leaf Bio

Jimmy LaValle is a Composer, who founded “The Album Leaf,” an American musical endeavour, in San Diego, California, in 1998. His use of electronics, synthesisers, and Rhodes piano is well known. Jimmy LaValle, the guitarist for the San Diego, California-based post-rock instrumental group “Tristeza,” launched “The Album Leaf.” LaValle has also played in a number of other bands from the San Diego region, such as GoGoGo Airheart, The Locust, Swing Kids, and The Crimson Curse. During downtime in the fall of 1998, LaValle started playing drums for the San Diego band GoGoGo Airheart. In order to capture LaValle playing improvised material on a Rhodes piano to an old Roland drum machine, their singer and guitarist Mike Vermillion recorded him. Moreover, he released his debut album “An Orchestrated Rise to Fall,” which has 10 tracks.
