The Aquabats is a ska-punk band formed in 1994 in Huntington Beach, California, USA. The band comprises Christian Jacobs (The M.C. Bat Commander; vocals), Chad Larson (Crash McLarson; bass), James Briggs (Jimmy the Robot; keyboards, saxophone, and woodwinds), Richard Falomir (Ricky Fitness; drums, percussion), and Ian Fowles (Eagle Bones Falconhawk; guitar). They are associated with Horchata, Goldenvoice, Time Bomb, Fearless, and Nitro record labels.
They debuted in 1996 with The Return of the Aquabats! via Horchata Records. Their sophomore album, The Fury of the Aquabats, was released the following year on Time Bomb. They have appeared on Take Warning: The Songs of Operation Ivy, Dead Bands Party - A Tribute To Oingo Boingo, Take Warning: The Songs of Operation Ivy, and Misfits Of Ska II.
Their discography includes The Aquabats vs. the Floating Eye of Death!, Myths, Legends and Other Amazing Adventures, Vol. 2, Serious Awesomeness!, Charge!!, and I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas Too! Their TV series, The Aquabats! Super Show!, was aired on The Hub. It was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Children's Series.
