Hailing from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, The Avalanches is an Australian band that performs electronic music, hip-hop, and disco music. The makeup of the group has changed over the years, but it currently consists of Robbie Chater, Tony Di Blasi, and Andy Szekeres. The Avalanches was formed in 1997, and they released their debut studio project Since I Left You in 2000. They have had a successful career as a touring group, performing at numerous international events including Coachella, Golden Plains, Glastonbury Festival, Best Kept Secret Festival, Pitchfork Music Festival, Primavera Sound 2016, Roskilde Festival, and Way Out West Festival. Their discography includes the hit singles Since I Left You, Frontier Psychiatrist, We Will Always Love You, Running Red Lights, The Divine Chord, and the albums Wildflower, Since I Left You, and We Will Always Love You. Their music was featured in the album Ambiance Roadtrip alongside Mike Posner, Lorde, Nelly Furtado, and Imagine Dragons. The Avalanches have won multiple awards including an Australian Music Prize for Album of the Year, a J Award for Double J Artist of the Year, and three ARIA Music Awards for Best New Artist and Best Dance Release.
