The Baseballs are a rock and roll band founded in Berlin, Germany, in 2007. The band is known for recreating new songs with the 1950s and 1960s style rock. The notable hits they have made covers for include "Crazy in Love" (Beyoncé), "Call Me Maybe" (Carly Rae Jepsen), "Umbrella" (Rihanna), and "Hot n Cold" (Katy Perry). Their variant of "Umbrella was well received in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Iceland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
The band released their first album, “Strike!" in May 2019 in Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. The same album was released in Finland and Sweden in October and December 2009, respectively. Those in Norway, the Netherlands, and the UK got the test of the album in February, March, and May 2010, respectively. The album performed exceptionally well, reaching position one in Sweden, Finland, and the Norwegian album charts. It was position two in the Netherlands and Switzerland, while it reached positions 15 and 6 in Austria and Germany, respectively.
