The Buttertones are a surf rock quintet from L.A., arguably the birthplace of surf rock. It’s comprised of Richard Araiza (lead vocal, guitar), Dakota Boettcher (guitar), Sean Redman (bass), Modesto Cobian (drums), and London Guzmån (saxophone). They’ve signed to the record label Lollipop, a southern California label specializing in surf rock, and released their self-titled debut in 2013.
The Buttertones have appeared on the TV show “Last Call with Carson Daly” playing selections from their latest album “Gravedigging” at the El Rey Theatre; that album received positive reviews. They’ve also toured around southern California, cultivating the tight following that comes form nostalgic Baby Boomers lined along Beach Boulevard. They have now launched a European tour supporting their latest album.
