The Chemical Brothers are an electronic music duo made of Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands, formed in 1989, in Manchester, England. They are considered pioneers of the big beat genre, alongside bands like Fatboy Slim, The Prodigy and The Crystal Method. The duo’s second album “Dig Your Own Hole” was a huge success, and it stayed on top of the UK chart for several weeks. Overall, between 1995 and 2019, they had released 9 studio albums, including “Push the Bottom” and “We Are the Night” which both won Best Dance/Electronic Album at the Grammy Awards. The band is multi-awarded, holding MTV Awards, Mercury Prizes and Brit Awards. They also composed the music of the thriller action movie “Hanna” for which they won the Best Music award at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association.
